Joining TIM means beginning a true journey with more than 40,000 people in a large organisation that extends across Italy and beyond!
We welcome new recruits with a personalised itinerary through the company: the TIM New Employees’ Journey, a dedicated three-year training and development programme that aims to raise awareness about the sectors and activities that set the company apart, but above all to develop and increase skills and knowledge.
But how could you take this journey without a trusted guide by your side? this is why every newcomer is partnered with a Buddy, a colleague with more experience to accompany them during their onboarding and growth at TIM.
At the end of the TIM New Employees’ Journey the “traveller” is awarded a certificate testifying to the experience, skills and knowledge gained throughout the entire journey.
Programme stages:
  • Before anything else, the WelcomeYou can't arrive without departing and the journey cannot begin without first being welcomed into the company. New recruits meet Top Managers to learn about the challenges of the market, but more importantly they are introduced to their buddy, who will be their trusted guide.
  • Orientation: The start of exploring the TIM world, getting to know colleagues and parts of the company, allowing them to become an integral part of the organisation and to believe "this is the right place for me"! During this stage we visit the core sectors and areas of the business to observe colleagues carrying out their daily activities, learn about TIM's history and understand its future.
  • Training: To improve the skills needed to carry out their role in the best possible way. Workshops, business projects and networking events with other professionals are just some of the activities in place to build a rich and effective bank of experience. To all this we add the TIM Academy, TIM's Corporate University, which offers educational activities that include classroom days, online training and practical experience.
  • Development: To put what they have learned into daily practice in the company. Business projects, coaching, mentoring and more to practice, improve and demonstrate their skills in the field, start their own growth path and discover TIM from a new point of view... until they don't feel like a new recruit any more.
