TIM Foundation has decided to donate 500,000 euros and to launch a voluntary subscription among TIM employees, committing to complete the fundraising up to the amount of another 500,000 euros, anticipating the entire sum to the beneficiaries.

For this purpose, TIM Foundation has identified four Italian hospitals throughout the country, distributing 250,00 euros each:

  • San Raffaele Hospital of Milan
  • CORIS Consortium for Health Research of Veneto region
  • Spallanzani Hospital of Rome
  • the IRCCS G. Pascale Foundation National Cancer Institute of Naples

TIM Foundation is also evaluating initiatives concerning the post-emergency, especially in the fields of major interest in terms of history and competence: telemedicine and the combination of medicine and advanced technologies for the remote transmission of data and knowledge.

Salvatore Rossi, TIM Foundation’s Chairman: “There are those who fight this war in the front line: doctors, intensive-care specialists, nurses, all hospital staff who welcome the sick affected by this virus, especially in Lombardy and Veneto, but not only. In such a dramatic moment, we cannot leave these people alone. It is on them that our safety, our well-being, the fate of the most unfortunate of us, who have contracted this virus, depend”.
