From "Telecom Italia Green" to "TIM eco-friendly"

A logo to identify products and initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of our Company

Since the late 90's Telecom Italia has launched a series of internal research and development activities to produce devices with a low environmental footprint. Improving the environmental efficiency of products installed on customer’s premises means optimizing energy consumption without affecting their performance, but also identifying and applying a number of “Design For Environment” rules which in turn enable a significant reduction of their environmental impacts in the production and end of life phases.

Following and expanding this practice, Telecom Italia has created a logo that identifies both green initiatives and projects, and eco-friendly products.The brand will "certify" environmental sustainability, and provides the information and specifications to demonstrate eco-friendliness and/or the advantages that are yielded in environmental terms. In the case of products, this information can be found both on a leaflet in the packaging, and on the sustainability section of this website, whereas characteristics of environmental-friendly initiatives and projects are only available within this section of the website.

Starting from 2015, initiatives and eco-friendly products are characterized by the new logo TIM eco-friendly; the new image is part of a rebranding process aimed at positioning TIM as a unique brand for fixed and mobile.

In January 2016 a new TIM eco-friendly logo was introduced, in line with the new unique brand.
