TIM contributes approximately 0,5% of the added value to the gross domestic product of Italy.

The activities of our group directly generate approximately 53,000 job opportunities in Italy. This means that one in every 225 private sector workers in Italy works for TIM. When we take into account indirect job posts – i.e. everyone working on projects connected to the TIM brand – the numbers are even larger.

Overall, approximately 110,000 people in Italy are esteemed to be working in connection to TIM, either directly or indirectly: about 1% of employees across the entire private sector.

Each day we aim to improve our status as a system-based, organically integrated business, across the whole Italian territory and within the economic social tapestry. The key role played by TIM in the economy of the country positively impacts upon the competitive status of its affiliated businesses, the efficiency of Public Administration bodies and, in a broader sense, each individual citizen’s wellbeing.

TIM handles the largest fixed line infrastructure in Italy – both call and data – which extends across the whole nation. It also manages one of the most advanced and extended mobile network platforms in the country. Its size, diffusion and technological and infrastructural assets mean that TIM employs a sizeable number of workers, both directly and indirectly, by generating further job opportunities in those companies it interacts with, whether they supply goods and services, or collaborate to projects fundamentally linked to the TIM brand, along the whole supply chain of the group.
