18 November 2015 - Innovation for the common good. The challenge of Non-profit organisations as leading players

Innovative and productive partnership between the Voluntary Sector and businesses will be high on the agenda at Sodalitas Social Innovation, the event which will be held on 18 November 2015 in Milan at Assolombarda.
What contribution can businesses make to the innovation of the Non-profit world? What are the advantages of this partnership both for the Voluntary Sector and for the businesses? What can actually change in everyone’s life?

The issues of the discussion are noteworthy, if we take into account how important the figures of the Non-profit industry are for the economy of our country. With 9.7% * of  workers in the Voluntary Sector out of the total economy, Italy ranks first  in the European Union,  surpassing France (9.0%),  Spain (6.7%), Germany (6.4%), the United Kingdom (5.6%) and the European average (6.5%).
We are talking about 4.7 million volunteers who, every year, put free working hours at other people’s service.  These organisations produce income worth 64 billion euros, accounting for 3.4% of the Italian economy!
In the past years a lot of successful Profit-Non-Profit partnerships have been established thanks to Sodalitas Social Innovation for the fifth year in a row.
This year, one of the special awards is TIM-WithYouWeDo: three of the finalist projects will be able to raise funds on TIM WithYouWeDo crowdfunding platform.

The 3 winning projects - selected according to their strong innovative nature - will be hosted at WithYouWeDo, TIM’s crowdfunding platform, on a page exclusively dedicated to Sodalitas Social Innovation and backed up by a communication campaign.
