An event organised by ETNO and GeSI to discuss the environmental and societal benefits of ICT-based solutions

A meeting organized by ETNO and GeSI will be held in Brussels on 28 October and will focus on growth opportunities offered by ICT solutions, both at social and environmental level: during the event, European experts and decision-makers will debate these issues.

Indeed, the role of information and communication technology is becoming increasingly important to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen resilience in all sectors.

The information and communication technology industry is really important in the fight against climate change, which is crucial for achieving the targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that will be ratified at COP21, the United Nations Conference on Climate Change that will take place in Paris from 30 November to 11 December 2015.

The event will also feature the launch of the SMARTer2030 Report, the GeSI report demonstrating how ICT initiatives can improve the quality of human life globally by 2030.
