The JOL WHITE lab in Pisa mainly focuses on maintaining psychological and physical wellbeing through the prevention of pathological conditions and taking care of the sick. The technology, innovative services and prototypes created can be useful to those who need to be cared for or assisted at home. But what are its strengths?

JOL WHITE

The JOL WHITE has many application features, since the technologies developed in the lab can be directly applied in the Health & Wellbeing field. The Wellbeing segment features ICT technologies for primary prevention aimed at healthy people who care about their health. It includes wearable devices for monitoring parameters such as stress, heart rate, movement, etc., and specific environmental devices for remotely controlling healthy but frail people such as the elderly or children. The Health segment is more focused on secondary prevention and telerehabilitation. We study all devices and algorithms that allow remote monitoring of the sick or their rehabilitation.
Using all these sensor networks and collaborating with specialist doctors (neurologists, neuropsychologists, cardiologists, epidemiologists, etc.), we create a network of services that provide added value to our work
