Aims and activities

Our system of committees is one of the major instruments for the governance of the Group.

In Telecom Italia we have reorganized our committees in order to:

monitor the implementation of strategies, the development of plans and results
guarantee the overall coordination of business activities and the handling of cross-group issues
reinforce the necessary operational synergies between the various departments involved in technological, business and support processes
foster the integrated development of innovation in the Group.

Besides the committees made up of managers, three Board committees have been set up with functions defined by the Telecom Italia Self-Regulatory Code:

For more effective competition

The voluntary commitments accepted in December 2008 by the Communications Regulatory Authority AGCom were presented by Telecom Italia with the aim of strengthening the competitive environment and fostering a more effective and efficient parity of treatment between the commercial functions of Telecom Italia and the other telecommunications operators.

Supervisory Panel

The Panel, acting on its own initiative or on the basis of reports by third parties, verifies any violations of the commitments, and reports them to the Communications Regulatory Authority with the procedures and timing set forth in the rules.
