AQUA MOBILIS

AQUA MOBILIS

December from 7 to 11, 2016
from 10 to 18 hrs, with free admission

Symbolic element, source of life but also danger, water inspired many artists throughout the centuries. Every side of it has been represented, materialized, until becoming an object of artistic research.

Through the Aqua Mobilis exhibition, water is not only considered as a subject but becomes a proper creative support, with singular pieces questioning our complex relationship to this element.

Water, through its numerous shapes, changes constantly, transforming the art into evolving pieces. Heraclitus once said: “No man ever steps in the same river twice”. Here, you will not see a piece twice the same way.

VIRTUAL TOUR OF TIM FUTURE CENTRE

VIRTUAL TOUR OF TIM FUTURE CENTRE

Exhibition open from June 19 to September 18
Opening on June 18, during Venice Art Night

A new way to visit

An innovative Virtual Tour, through the Interiors 3D technology, that scans spaces, processes it in the cloud, in order to build interactive 3D models, which enable a complete immersion in the model as beeing physically in that space.

Interiors 3D offers a high-end quality in 3D Virtual Tours. It’s a new revolutionary technology to create interactive 3D models of interior spaces with a stunning scanning speed and a friendly- use interface. It does not need any software and can be viewed from any device (pc, tablets and smartphones). The advantage of this technology is that once a space is being scanned and processed by the cloud anyone can interact with the 3D model from any part of the world. User will be immersed into the 3D model with the perception of being physically there. With Interiors 3D it’s possible to visit any historical place, even those that have limited accessibility or are closed to public, and mantain a memory of the space unchanged during the time. Furthermore from this technology we can extract several files useful for architectural survey as files pts (Point Clouds) that can be opened in CAD softwares (Autodesk Recap, Autocad, Revit, etc). From a 3D model will be possible to obtain measures, sections or even technical drawings. 

VENICE between dream and reality

VENICE between dream and reality

Exhibition open from May 7 to 15, 2016
Opening on May 6 at 16:30 hrs

A contest between two visions of Venice, seen and experienced by Venetian

The idea of the exhibition comes quite by accident, between two of our former colleagues and ALATEL members, Marino Bastianello and Luciano Bettini, after several shared thoughts concerning possible ways of approaching a town among the most photographed in the world.

"We promised to meet again with twenty shots to see how each of us had interpreted the theme. At the beginning the two portfolio appeared to be completely different, but then, by analyzing the path that each one had chosen, it gradually emerged a picture where the apparent distances were not at all, and the narration led to interpret and merge the two paths: the charm a sunset next to the daily life, the magic of colors and the reality of black and white. We thought that the two ways of seeing the city round and blend in a single reading. "

The contest involves the active participation of the public, that may express views, opinions and preferences through the book in the exhibition.

SEARCH by Simone Pizzinga

SEARCH by Simone Pizzinga

April 15 to 30, 2016

The show is titled SEARCH, a word that is the starting point of the planning and the concept that is at the hearth of his works. The artist Simone Pizzinga, born in 1985, lives and works in Torino.
From the beginning, he has based his research on the contamination between the classic style and techniques, and the new technologies. Everything starts from the marker flashing on the search engine’s bar, in which the artist writes a keyword, using it as a starting point for a study.
“Starting from pre-created images forces me to interpret and metabolize them, then give life to something new. I’m interested in pushing out from the visual anonymity the frames I choose, not accidentally, between billions of photos you can find on-line. The marginal subject in the original photo, often acquires a new relevance.”
His last artistic production, consists, at first step, in the graphic and iconic processing of the image choosed as subject. This new image is turned in black and white tones and developed on a photosensitive film. Films are placed on watercoloured papers, then everything is framed. Glass, photosensitive film, paper and tens of watercoloured layers give to the artwork a deepness that is not only material, but psychological.
The distortions he forces to the original subjects, don’t break the basic balance, but actually give them a suspension appearing ecstatic. Images lose their digital feature, they become deep, soft, carnal, floating suspended on that base of pigment and water stretched as a veil.
At this point an oxymoron is generated, the images that seem to be gloomy and suffocating, become light and suspended. We are not in front of reality, but a fragment of it. From that, a detail has been extracted, for leading it elsewhere and suspended as is typical of certain preserved moments from most classical art and its poses. In a kind of “indifference”, compared to the time and place from where it comes from and where it has been “seized”, a minor subject achieves an innovative relevance.
