Assinform

The Assinform Report on Informatics, Telecommunications and Multimedia Contents is the reference study on ICT in Italy as compared with the other most important countries in Europe and the world.

The Report contains detailed analyses of the ICT market as well as information and trends in the sector and the sector’s impact on the country.

The Assinform Report, published under the sponsorship of the Minister’s Council, combines two different approaches: the first one based on a primary analysis carried out though surveys in the field of supplier companies and ICT users, the second one based on a secondary analysis of bibliographic sources and already available data.

Following a geographical pattern going from the general to the more specific, the Report describes:

• the scenario and vision of the ICT sector, with reference to the economic situation of the country
• does quantitative analysis of the ICT market worldwide focusing on the world IT and TLC markets, with comparisons and detailed information of developed and emerging countries, specifically the United States, Japan, China and India
• analysis of the IT and TLC markets on a European basis: detailed focus on each country, with segmentation in the three main areas (Hardware, Software and Services)
• quantitative analysis on the ICT, IT and TLC markets in Italy, with detailed information concerning the different sectors and areas of the economic business
• national and international overview on the Internet and e-commerce

The Report aims to promote a deep analysis of innovation and a broad and efficient usage of ICT technologies and services, which are the basis for the development of the competitiveness and the productivity of the Italian economy.
