1925 – Division of the telephone service into five zones.
1927 - STIPEL launches the first special services: Taxi Service, the Exact Time, Train Services, Sport News, General News, Wake-up Call, Management of Phones for Absent Subscribers, Train and Theatre Reservations, Automobile Assistance.
The first token-operated public phones.
1928 – STIPEL introduces the duplex telephone, i.e. the same line for two subscribers.
1936 – Radio Link experiments.
1940-’45 - Heavy damage to infrastructure due to bombing and a significant fall in subscriptions.
Adoption of coaxial cables, radio links and a new generation of automatic telephone exchanges.
