Sincronizzando
Sincronizzando [Synchronizing] is the magazine published by Telecom Italia for all of the Group’s employees and for senior members of Alatel. With a circulation of 75,000 copies and published quarterly, Sincronizzando is firmly rooted in the corporate publishing tradition of Telecom Italia and of the companies that are part of its DNA, dating back to the 1920s.
The magazine is an integral part of Telecom Italia’s internal communication system, and has the goal of being universal and of reaching everyone in order to:
- talk about the company that we want to be
- privilege a companywide point of view, as opposed to those of individual departments;
- choose the reader’s point of view;
- favor the expression of different points of view;
- illustrate to employees the new course that the company has taken and publicly outlined.
The magazine places its focus on people, their experiences and their stories.
Its editorial policy combines and showcases “emotion and rationality” and allows images to engage readers through their evocative power.
Special emphasis is given to:
- narrative tone, visual impact, and the strength of iconography;
- concise articles that are subdivided into sections (with boxes, briefs, short biographies, inserts...);
- external editorial contributions, to provide a counterpoint to contributions from within the company.
The magazine’s style is a distinctive element and privileges fluid writing that is incisive and keeps technical terms and anglicisms to a minimum.
