Knowledge Management, which involves managing the creation, dissemination and use of technical and professional knowledge, is a particularly important part of the learning process.
With our knowledge management model we can:
  • promote and spread the culture of sharing,
  • stimulate the creation of internal and external relationship networks
  • stimulate the exchange of knowledge and the generation of ideas,
The ultimate goal of all this is to promote the Group's innovation processes.
We also work towards the greater use of social tools and platforms, as well as the creation and development of open professional communities capable of producing innovative ideas and solutions through the exchange of expertise and the experiences of their participants.
As of today, there are around 10 Knowledge Management Communities active in the sectors of:
  • Innovation,
  • Information,
  • Technology,
  • Sales,
  • Technologies,
  • Network Maintenance.
With some of them we have launched - in co-partnership with TIM Academy - the creation and publication of self-produced content on both specialist and informative topics, to support the development of internal know-how and its dissemination at company level.
Other tools and initiatives are:
Our Intranet and the TIM Academy social environment. The social tools that can be used via the intranet include the management of community and online project areas (both closed and open access) and shared discussion forums. In addition, the TIM Academy’s social environment allows the user to create learning communities to share the knowledge generated in the classrooms within the company.
TIM Smart Corners. These are short, informal meetings held on the company premises, where expert colleagues voluntarily share their professional knowledge on the most innovative and business-related subject areas. The Smart Corners also provide Webinar sessions, which can also be accessed at a later date from the TIM Academy catalogue. This procedure is provided in addition to live attendance, thus allowing for a broader use and expanding a repository that is always available for consultation.
