Our Education activities aim to increase the value of the Group’s people by developing their knowledge and the skills required to implement the TIM Business Plan.

For this purpose, the TIM Academy was set up on 5 April 2016 as the TIM corporate university to generate and disseminate new skills, share knowledge from different sectors and continue with the process of digital transformation in education.

TIM Academy is the new education frontier, a digital as well as a physical place of learning aimed at the technological and business future thanks to the wealth of knowledge, know-how and skill of TIM's people and partnerships with external organizations, such as universities and research centres.

It represents a big step forward in the field of education and research as it enhances the value of the creation, exchange and use of corporate know-how in all its forms to develop opportunities for technological and business innovation, considering it the real wealth of the company.

TIM Academy is a physical and digital place for the development and sharing of professional and leadership skills, creative thinking, strategy and innovation.

The Platform of the TIM Academy features the most up-to-date online learning formats in order to make TIM increasingly a place of learning focused on the technological and business future. Web-based training, open meetings, virtual classrooms, and gamification combine to generate paths capable of ensuring the ongoing updating of the skills essential for the competitiveness of the company over time.

TIM Academy has a Faculty of qualified teachers and endorsers at national and international level, also including internal experts who actively participate in the creation and sharing of knowledge and certify the skills acquired in line with the most accredited international standards.

All TIM's people are involved in educational activities with most of the population dealing with core business matters and a large part in training aimed at bringing about company transformation.

The training provided is broken down into four main paths:

  • Self-directed learning, a wide range of online courses open to all via the platform, which allows everyone to create their own learning path according to their needs and preferences
  • Individual development plan, through which each person can participate in training pathways designed specifically in relation to their role or their own development path
  • Performance management, in which everyone will have access to an improvement plan defined together with their manager

In addition to this, the TIM Academy will create opportunities for discussion and networking on the most relevant issues, organizing hackathons, workshops, seminars, learning tours and think tanks; all thanks to the involvement of universities, research centres, and other innovative companies on digital transformation topics, who share the same challenges as TIM.
