Inclusiveness, transparency, fairness and differentiation are the basic principles of the new Development Model, which focuses on the value of people and therefore of the company.

When you start a new job, being welcomed properly during the initial period is fundamental. We have therefore created onboarding programmes aimed at speeding up the process of settling people in the company, promoting involvement and motivation. These programmes allow collective processes to be implemented for new young recruits, while managers and senior professionals follow personalised paths based on the role that each person will play in the company.

The onboarding plans include professional and educational paths that help participants get to know the company and its main processes and above all develop their skills more quickly.

The aim of all this is increasingly to develop the skills needed to work together with colleagues already at TIM and those who will follow, promoting the achievement of the company’s goals.

Our performance management system, which covers everyone who works at TIM, is focused on the achievement of objectives and the way in which they are achieved.

Through the Performance system, we are committed to:

  • Detecting and appreciating each person's merit in a fair, transparent and inclusive way;
  • Allowing everyone to become more aware of their strengths and areas for improvement
  • Developing each person’s performance and that of the company as a whole

In our Performance system, everyone is both evaluated and an evaluator, thanks to the multirater approach. Every individual in the company has an opportunity to evaluate the conduct of their manager and, in some cases, their co-workers.

Individual development plans are a pivotal element of our Development Model. After the performance assessment, each individual embarks on an individual development plan lasting a year, which included specific activities aimed above all at recognising and strengthening areas for improvement: e-learning, motivational, professional diversification and/or other development activities make up each person’s individual plan.

Our aim is to train people capable of holding positions we consider critical and develop and retain the best talents within the company.

One instrument used a great deal for this purpose is assessment of potential: it brings out the aptitude and motivational characteristics of an individual and identifies their strengths and the areas for improvement, in order to orient professional development consistently with the profile.
