With a view to strengthening contacts with the world of schools and local institutions and contributing to the updating and strengthening of the skills of young people at high school, in 2016 we chose to sign up to the experimental “Alternanza Licei – Imprese TLC (School – TLC Company Alternance)” project of Assolombarda with the aim of testing a new model of alternating between school and work which manages to combine the objectives of schools with those of the company.

It is a pilot project that involves almost all operators in the ICT sector and 4 high schools in Milan with the aim of contributing to the development of digital skills in young people at high schools through the business-school connection.

What are our aims?

  • to introduce young people to the digital world, in terms of the application scopes of the technologies now available, developments and future trends
  • to understand and learn more about soft skills such as “team working”, one of transversal skills most requested by companies
  • to prompt students to take responsibility for the educational value of the experience and the importance of their full understanding of the new content.

How can we do so?

  • by participating in an event providing guidance on the digital culture and the digital revolution in companies aimed at students in the third and fourth years (4 hours)
  • by organizing three theme-based workshops for 30/40 students in the fourth year selected from the high schools involved to participate in company work projects, using the school-work alternance method, concerning Digital Life issues, the “brand” in the digital era, and the world of businesses and “start-ups.”
