Telecom Italia is committed to fostering young talent and, to that end, works with Italy's most prestigious universities.

In particular, in 2013 the TIM Chair in Market Innovation was established at the Bocconi University in Milan, with the aim of developing a programme focused on market innovation and technology.

The project is centred on both the understanding of strategic and organisational approaches and tools, which allow businesses to put energy into fostering innovation, and the creation of new markets, a topic which has today become a key focal point in the fields of management, strategy and marketing.

In April 2016, the most recent event of the TIM Graduate Contest took place at TIM #WCAP Accelerator in Milan. During the event, students of the TIM Chair in Market Innovation faced a Pitching Session & Demolition Session, during which they presented the four projects that had best interpreted the topic of digital services, excelling in terms of originality, completeness and effectiveness.

We are a partner in the “Network Scuola Impresa”, the innovative Consorzio Elis project that aims to bring the world of school closer to the world of business. The initiative involves the best students in the last two years of over 27 technical high schools throughout Italy.

The training pathways designed by their teachers and the “Maestri di Mestiere” (Masters of Work) from our Technology division include classroom teaching, practical applications and guided tours of telephone exchanges, to allow students to get real firsthand knowledge of how our services such as  FTTH (Fiber to The Home) or LTE (Long Term Evolution) are born.

At the end of the school year, the best students from each institutions will attend the Summer Camp, the residential training pathway provided by Consel - Consorzio ELIS and partner companies, or an work placement in the company, participating in project work.

Silvia gives us her testimony as part of the Seminar "The 4G network and the near future of mobile communications" which was held on 10 June at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in the Faculty of Telecommunications Engineering .

"Now that I am part of the group of Employer Brand Ambassador I am happy to contribute to establish a more direct relationship between Telecom Italia and the best Italian Universities. A few days ago I was able to tell my experience as a newly hired youngster to young people who are following my own training path and next to whom I was sitting until recently ...

I could not even imagine that I would be part of such a strategic company for our country; now, however, I go back to those classrooms (no longer as a student) to tell my experience and to witness how Telecom Italia is actually a fresh, innovative company, ready to take up challenges.

Thus, a double benefit: on the one hand our company that can meet the excellences of the future, on the other undergraduates who may get to know some real opportunities! And the University is pleased to be able to show, concretely, the job opportunities available ... "
