The future of Telecom Italia is based on innovation in terms of people care and development. The aim is to bring to light the value-added resources of each person that works for the company through a combination of programmes and initiatives targeting skill development, inclusion, respect for diversity and welfare.

For this reason, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, Telecom Italia takes part in the Giornata Nazionale della Previdenza (National Welfare Day)  with the workshop “Telecom Italia invests in people value: the quality of life and the quality of work”.

The company targets people, the crucial assets of the new digital economy, of which Telecom Italia is a protagonist, who are the main players facing new market challenges, supporting innovation and competition. The welfare of company employees also depends on a successful life-work balance. The new People Strategy of Telecom Italia therefore focuses on identity, skill development, inclusion and respect for diversity, welfare and participation. In short, it embraces all the activities that make Telecom Italia a company that takes care of its people by improving their life.

The main activities:

  • Life-work balance: 18 day nurseries, 40 summer holiday packages, 39 document handling counters
  • Listening and inclusion: Diversity Management programmes and policies
  • People involvement: motivational initiatives, 49 affiliations with companies, corporate volunteering

These place Telecom Italia among the “best-in-class” companies for Welfare and People Caring.

Giornata Nazionale della Previdenza

Now at its fourth edition, the event is open to everyone and free of charge. It is especially dedicated to young people who are looking for a job or are about to enter the world of work, and to workers and those who want to better understand and obtain information about issues such as “pension savings”, “supplementary healthcare assistance” and “new types of job”.

The GNP2014 award

The 2014 award was established to inform young people about what is changing, and in what ways, in relation to state and supplementary pensions but mainly about the consequences that today’s choices might have on the future.

Sometimes talking about pensions is not easy, even for the most expert, so why not give young people the opportunity to express themselves in a way that they are more familiar with?

The GNP contest required 3rd, 4th and 5th year secondary school pupils, university students and new graduates to submit a project to explain to their peers the importance of being informed and understanding the mechanisms that govern their pension situation right from their first job so that they can create a better future but, above all, an awareness of how important today’s choices are for their future.

Friday 16 May will focus on young people: the morning will begin with a session dedicated to pensions “from zero”.

The special guest presenter will be Fabrizio Fontana, who, starting with the assumption that “no work means no pension”, will actively involve young people by drawing their attention to issues that are sometimes unknown to them. In the morning, the GNP2014 contest will award the winners, who will present their projects and ideas on pensions and social security schemes.

Job Matchpoint - find a job at GNP 2014

Telecom Italia took part in the initiative on jobs: from 14 to 16 May, a space was dedicated to job interviews. The idea was conceived by the Provincial Administration of Milan, in partnership with Trovolavoro of the Corriere della Sera newspaper. A total of 150 job opportunities were offered, including 13 by Telecom Italia.
