We are continuing the implementation of specific initiatives for the balance between work time and free time, and to provide support to the requirements of children and family members:

  • 20 crèches: in addition to the 9 company crèches (in 8 cities), 11 discount agreements were signed with an equal number of external crèches and a company pre-school was opened in Rome;
  • commercial discount agreements for employees;
  • 41 summer camps where employees’ children can have new experiences and make new friends (7,544 children used this service in 2016);
  • recognition of educational merit through the practice of reimbursing fees paid by employees for registering their children at university and the provision of scholarships for trips abroad;
  • mobility management to assist people commuting between home and work through car-pooling, company shuttles (290 journeys a day in 4 cities) and bike racks at office locations (1782 bike-parking spaces distributed in 29 cities and 60 company locations); TIM participated in the 2016 edition of the bike challenge, an event held during the European mobility week which aims to encourage people to travel to work by bike, with the support of apps and digital technology in general and in which 450 employees throughout Italy participated;
  • motivational initiatives: involvement and participation of around 13,000 employees and their families in initiatives involving sport, art, culture, music, shows and historical events;
  • Smart Working project in the cities of Milan, Turin, Bologna, Rome and Palermo. Inspired by the principles of organisational inclusiveness, it involved 9,095 people (August data).
