Telecom Italia supports the volunteering initiatives by its employees.

Programme the Future” a MIUR initiative aimed at promoting the introduction of computer programming to primary schools, implemented by CINI (National Interuniversity Consortium for Informatics) with TIM as a “Sponsor” partner. TIM made its volunteer staff available for this project: 75 employees in all participated;

Distance adoptions”: 1862 employees renewed their commitment to help CIAI (Italian Centre for Aid to Children), the Comunità di Sant’Egidio and Save the Children, signing up to adopt children at a distance (876 active supporters for children in difficulty);

Telecom Italia Blood Donors Group: 30 blood donation days were organised with blood banks set up in offices, and more generally employees gave around 4900 hours of blood donation in the half year by signing up to the donation channels we promoted;

Solidarity stalls: around 200 stands were set up at company locations to assist the work of charities and non-profit organisations, with the participation or external support of our employees. Moreover, a roadshow of stalls was organised to support the “Vietato Mollare Tour” (Giving Up is Prohibited Tour), a motorbike tour of Italy made by an employee with multiple sclerosis together with a Ducati racer to raise funds for AISM (Italian Association of Multiple Sclerosis);

Race for the Cure: for the first time a team of “TIM Runners” was formed with over 1000 employees who signed up to participate in the 4 city runs (Rome, Brescia, Bologna, Bari) organised by the Susan Komen Foundation to help breast cancer research. In all 4 cities the “TIM Runners” received an award for being a new team with the most members.
