Prizes

The Big Data Jam to be held in Rome during the month of September 2015 will be the event dedicated to finalists who here have the opportunity to show the public their project; above all, however, it will provide the occasion to award the winners their prizes. The best ideas will receive a cash recompense. The winner of each track will receive a prize of
10,000 euros.

Choosing the winners

Winners will be selected by the Big Data Challenge committee, for the occasion comprising renowned international figures from the field of industry, the academic world and research: the panel will have the task of assessing the ideas received and rewarding the most worthy.

Selection criteria 

  1. Adherence of the proposal to the contest theme: Big Data for Competitiveness;
  2. The impact on the possible dissemination and effective use of the application developed;
  3. The concrete nature, applicability and repeatability of the Proposals submitted;
  4. The level of technical and/or conceptual innovation of the Proposals; 
  5. The extensive and as complete as possible use (in terms of heterogeneity) of the data made available.
