The initiative sponsored by TIM in collaboration with the MIUR (Ministry of Education) involved students from secondary schools in transmitting new, more responsible models for using social networks.

The five winning classes of the creative contest You Teach, sponsored by TIM in collaboration with the MIUR and aimed at students from secondary schools from all over the country were asked to use their creativity to produce an original video able to transmit new, more responsible models for using social networks. First prize was awarded for the video produced by class IIB from the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “A.Volta” of Francavilla al Mare – Liceo Classico of Ortona (CH). Their video was chosen by a technical jury composed of Nicola Conversa from Nirkiop, Raffaele Panizza from Wired and Marzia Calvano from the MIUR. The awards ceremony was conducted last week with a surprise appearance by the webstar Nicola Conversa announcing the winner to the public (vide). The Web also had a share in choosing the most interesting projects of those published and the following classes were all given a mention: 3AI from the Istituto Tecnico per il Turismo “G.Giorgi” in Brindisi; 3A from the Liceo Scientifico "F.Vercelli" in Asti; 2T from the Istituto Tecnico per il Turismo “A. Gentileschi” in Milan and 3B from the Liceo Scientifico "Savoia-Benincasa” in Ancona. The award-winning videos can be seen at http://www.telecomitalia.com/tit/it/youteach/vincitore.html.

The classes participating in the contest were asked to prepare and film a lesson aimed at teachers, using a smartphone and lasting a maximum of 5 minutes, on the responsible use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube. The students and teachers coming first each won a Mini iPad, while the winning schools were all given the digital teaching solution "Scuolabook Network" offered in Telecom Italia's Digital School Kit for the academic year 2015-2016.
The creative contest rewarded those film clips which best transmitted the learning process to social media and its use in relation to spreading a digital culture at school.
You teach is part of the national project EducaTI, by means of which TIM hopes to promote digital enabling of the Italian scholastic system, experimenting and encouraging new learning and teaching models. The initiative falls within the sphere of TIM's Corporate Social Responsibility activities #ilfuturoèditutti, a programme of activities based on creating common values with the communities the Company operates in.
