Valencia, 7 March 2006 - Yesterday evening Luna Rossa ITA 86 reached the Team base in Valencia, Spain. In the coming days her configuration will be completed by fitting the mast, appendages and rigging.
Last Thursday, the hull left Nembro, Bergamo (Italy) with destination Livorno where it was then transferred via ship to Spain.
During the trip a strong Mistral wind, with gusts over 60 knots, greeted Luna Rossa slowing down the cargo speed.
The construction of ITA 86 has been carried out by the Team staff which worked for more than 25,000 hours at the Persico Nautical Division yard under the direction of New Zealander Richard Gillies.
The inaugural launching will take place in Valencia on the 22nd of March.
