Tomorrow, Telecom Italia and 9 Telecom, a Telecom Italia Group subsidiary, will host the press presentation of "Paysages d´Italie" ("Landscapes of Italy"), an exhibition shortly to open in Paris at the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais that was made possible by the joint endeavors of the "Palazzo Te" International Center of Art and Culture in Mantua and the Réunion des Musées Nationaux of Paris.

The exhibition, which can claim status as a major international cultural event, consists of 192 works by European artists from the period between 1700 and the early 1800s whose paintings celebrate the history and natural beauty of Italy.

Telecom Italia contributed to the realization of this project which was organized by an international scientific committee made up of Italian and foreign museum directors, including Pierre Rosenberg, Chairman and Director of the Louvre Museuem, two exhibition commissaries: Vincent Pomarède (Director of the Musèe des Beaux Arts of Lyon) and Stefano Tumidei (curator of the Bologna Museums). Anna Ottani Cavina personally supervised the entire project and chose the works for display. The works themselves are on loan from international private collections and museums.

The exhibition runs from 5 April to 9 July 2001 and enjoys the distinguished patronage of the President of the Republic of France Jacques Chirac, and his Italian counterpart Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. The Chairman and CEO of Telecom Italia Roberto Colaninno will officially inaugurate the event on 3 April.

The Palazzo Te International Center of Art and Culture, the original promoter of the project, will then host the exhibition in Mantua from 2 September to 16 December in the "Fruttiere" rooms of Palazzo Te under the new name of " Un Paese Incantato" ("An Enchanted Country").
