Piero Chiambretti
returns with

MARKETTE
Tutto fa brodo in tv
(anything goes on TV)

Markette, Piero Chiambretti’s irreverent late night show, returns to LA7 in its regular slot on weeknights from Tuesday to Thursday.

The name of the show is a provocative reference to the rounds TV guests make to promote their latest book, record, film or simply themselves. This year's show seeks to back up the outrageous claim, “There’s never an idiot around when you want him on TV”.

Chiambretti says, “This year the show’s less about guests and more about ideas.”

The team that has made the show such a hit will be keeping the presenter company: Costantino della Gherardesca, actress Rosalia Porcaro, Gennaro Cosmo Parlato, mimic Claudio Lauretta, art dealer and critic Fabrizio Moretti, and TV’s most unreal agent, Dante Zanetti.

Markette is brining back its unconventional pundits including the secretary of the Italian Radical party Daniele Capezzone, and Rifondazione Comunista MP Vladimir Luxuria. Other regular guests are model and author Andrea Lehotska and playwright Sabina Negri in Calderoli, who this year hosts the posta del cuore slot for women in love and women unceremoniously dumped.

There are some exciting new developments to look forward to in this year’s Markette: Miss Italia Worldwide 2006 Karina Michelin, a Brazilian model of Italian origin, and actress and mimic Gabriella Germani join the cast.

The “cathedral of culture” returns with musical backing from “Markette Gospel”, a group that breaks into song during the show featuring singers and soloists Vhelade, Regina and Moncia, and dancer Britta.

Markette - Doppio brodo, a concentrated distillation of the highlights and funniest moments from the week’s shows, is once again being broadcast by LA7 on Friday night.

Markette, tutto fa brodo in tv is produced by Magnolia for LA7. It is a Piero Chiambretti show, written by Tiberio Fusco, Romano Frassa and Irene Ghergo, and is directed by Massimo Fusi.
