Paolo Dal Pino, Managing Director of SEAT Pagine Gialle, presented the Group’s industrial plan guidelines to the finance community today, during “Telecom Italia Day”, held in Milan.

SEAT’s strategy involves a number of keywords such as focalisation and development of core business, rationalisation and profitability.

The objective is to reinforce SEAT in its media company role, to further develop the business areas where it is present with synergic projects that include: integrating Virgilio (leading Italian portal) with Pagine Gialle on line, supplying new internet broadband and dial-up access with re-launching of the tin.it brand.

Based on these guidelines the plan envisages an annual turnover growth of 8-10%, to achieve an ebitda margin in excess of 30% in 2004 (today 23%). The Internet business area will break even in 2003, but ISP is already in the black for 2002.

Corporate rationalisation focuses on the core business and envisages that group companies pass from 215 to 75, with rationalisation interventions on structures and operating costs.
