1925

  • Division of the telephone service into five zones.

1927

  • STIPEL launches the first special services: Taxi Service, the Exact Time, Train Services, Sport News, General News, Wake-up Call, Management of Phones for Absent Subscribers, Train and Theatre Reservations, Automobile Assistance
  • The first token-operated public phones

1928

  • STIPEL introduces the duplex telephone, i.e. the same line for two subscribers.

1936

  • Radio Link experiments.

1940 - 1945

  • Heavy damage to infrastructure due to bombing and a significant fall in subscriptions
  • Adoption of coaxial cables, radio links and a new generation of automatic telephone exchanges
