Our goal is to offer more and more people services that are smarter, more fun, useful and accessible from different places and different devices. In Italy, at the end of September 2016, we supply 29.5 million mobile lines, of which 12 million are broadband users, 11.4 million  connections to the fixed network, of which 7.1 million are retail broadband lines. 

Our offers, under the single brand “TIM”, focus on innovation and simplicity. For the fixed netowk, flat tariffs with voice and connectivity bundled together.  “All inclusive” solutions for voice and the latest internet connection offers, combined with new generation smartphones and tablets, for the mobile network. Furthermore convergent plans, such as TIM Smart,  with voice and internet access on fixed and mobile networks. For young people under 30 we propose a mix of internet, voice calls and text messages as well as music, fashion, cinema and, joining the community, games and much more.

The digital content offer is rich and includes movies, music, books and games, and thanks to major partnerships can provide a wide range of premium contents. TV video content is another particularly vibrant area. Thanks to the partnership with Sky we launched the first optic fiber cable TV in Italy, followed by Netflix on TIM Vision, in July, and "TIM Premium Online"  on its networks thanks to the agreement with Mediaset.      

Our latest internet connection offers are increasingly based on new generation networks: optical fiber for the fixed network, LTE and LTE Advanced for the mobile one. This infrastructure achieves excellent performances in navigation speed and quality which completely change the browsing experience and fruition of digital content. Our offers are already available in many Italian cities and are gradually being rolled out across the country. At October 2016 fiber coverage reached 56% of the Italian houses and LTE coverage 95% of the population; by 2018 we aim to extend the coverage respectively to around 84% and 98% of the population.

Our caring

As the access to internet on the move is increasingly changing behaviour, methods of access and purchasing, the TIM offer is significantly geared towards the digital marketing. Nowadays on the TIM website you can do many things, in a simple and innovative way:  you can switch to TIM from another Operator or activate a new line, top up your mobile phone, activate options and services,  change your pricing plan or purchase Smartphones, Tablets, USB keys and other products, even at promotional prices.  Assistance and MyTIM  are sections  of the website where you can control and manage you landline services and mobile services, and interacting from both PCs as well as Tablets. As far the assistance is concerned, alongside the webe channels, self-caring channels are provided such as Apps that can be used on Smartphones, and Social Caring pages active on Facebook and Twitter.
